This is often the deciding factor whether I read a story online or not. If you haven’t split your writing up into paragraphs, I just won’t read it. I don’t care whether you’re an amazing writer, if you can’t split it into paragraphs, you’ve lost me.
I don’t mind if it’s a long paragraph of description followed by some spaces for dialogue. That’s fine. It’s when a paragraph is all crammed together that I can’t bear to read it. Paragraphs aren’t evil, they are there to help!
I have seen these blogs before on Tumblr and I decided I wanted to help too. I am by no means an expert but there are some things I have picked up while reading stories online that I want to address
I want to start by saying, I am not trying to put you off! It’s hard to write a really good story so these tips will hopefully help you improve as a writer. Certainly, by reading some tips on other blogs, I know what to look out for when I’m writing my own stories
